Focus on what you want rather than what you don’t want. Why and what’s the difference?
We use positive motivation to drive us towards what we want, rather than being motivated by a negative which also motivates us but in this case ‘away from’ what we don’t want.
An example might be a fear of running out. This ‘away from’, negative motivation can take over our thinking (stress), hijack our emotions and impacts on our bodies not to mention any unwanted behaviours surfacing.
Compare to a positive motivation of moving towards satisfied with enough.
Two different ways, one much better for our wellbeing, bodies, social spirit and thinking.
