Get Springtime positive with our ten tips

How to get Springtime positive. Our ten tips for a positive mindset

It’s one of those times of the year when there is an overwhelming urge to tidy and clean. Car, house, garden nothing is spared! So, what about a spring clean for your mind? Here are our top tips for finding a positive mindset this Spring.

Get outdoors more

Spending time outside in the fresh air can do wonders for mindset and mental wellbeing. Take a walk in a wood, go for a hike, swim, forage whatever works for you to interact and just be to get Springtime positive.

Practice gratitude

Take time each day to reflect on the things you are grateful for. At first these can be small and hard to notice so really spend time on this to get the maximum outcome. This can help shift your focus to the positive and improve your overall outlook.

Set achievable goals

Whether it’s a personal or professional goal, using an NLP approach to goal setting utilising your recticular activating system helps you start to notice opportunities to move forward towards your goal. Begin by thinking about what you really want specifically to get it firmly in your mind.

Connect with others and review your ‘team’

Spending time with those around you who make you feel good about yourself makes such a difference. They may be friends and family, or consider joining a social group that aligns with your interests. Building connections with others with similar values can provide a sense of belonging and boost mood for Springtime positive.

Prioritise self-care

Make time for activities that you enjoy and that help you relax. Whether it’s learning something new, doing something different or simply taking a bath, self-care is essential for maintaining a positive attitude and mental wellbeing. NLP training provides us with the ultimate selection of approaches to use on self as well as with others, it’s said that it’s the gift that keeps on giving, way after finishing the course!

Seek space and time to quieten the mind

Finding a place, inside or outside which gives you those vibes to help quieten a noisy mind is so important. Notice how quickly you and your mind calms as you start to find clarity.

Celebrate the wins to keep motivated

How many times have you missed patting yourself on your back for something? Recognising and appreciating your progress is everything and it all starts with you! Spend some time and take 5 mins out at the end of each day to reflect upon the positives. Ask “What are you proud of?”

Be kind to self

It’s really important to know and say to yourself, that you are doing the best you can with the resources you have at this moment. This is a big deal with mindset, particularly at more challenging and stressful times where it can be too easy to get stuck and dwell as it will help you move forward.

Its a matter of connection

We have all the resources we need to succeed and achieve our desired outcomes, it’s just a matter of connection which we might need some help with from time to time to realise. The more you practice the other tips, the more you will strengthen this connection to get Springtime positive.

Your words make the difference

Focus on your words and language to be positive and take back control. Notice how often you use ‘yes’ compared to ‘no’ – is it stacked the right way round for you? Make a point of using the word ‘I’ more often, we all know there is nothing more powerful than the words “I am…” and add the empowering word of your choice (eg “I am powerful”, “I am good” “I am empowered”) to make a difference.

We hope you find these tips useful, you can pick individual ones out or work on all of them in any order sooner or later. If you want to get into NLP more, contact for details or subscribe to our mailing list at the bottom of the page.
