Are you trapped in the happiness pattern?

Trapped in the happiness pattern?

Are you stuck in the happiness pattern?

Does it feel like a catch 22?

I will be happy if…

I move to this house
I buy this car
I get this job
I earn this wage

Ok, so when you get one of these, what happens next? We feel good for a while and you know, that time is pretty short. Then it starts again.

I will be happy when…
I move to this house
I buy this car
I get this job
I earn this wage

So you get something else off the list and so on.. how long do you continue with this?

For some of us its years and years. We earn the money and get stuck in the pattern, spending the money to feel better about it whilst in the pattern perhaps not realising that it’s time to get out. This short term approach is exactly what it says and what you get.

Attaching happiness

What’s interesting is that we attach happiness to ‘stuff’, even just the purchasing of the ‘stuff’ and it seems strange we never feel happy. Does this resonate?

Weighing it up

What would it be like if you didn’t need to go round and round wasting time and energy in this pattern.

Find your inner happy, the powerful stuff that makes you feel amazing inside, so that you can say to yourself “YEAH! I know I am happy”
